Games like Wordle, for Snake fans

Wordle made a simple idea famous: one puzzle a day, the same for everyone, done in a few minutes, and a result you can share with friends. If you love that ritual but grew up on Snake, Snakoff brings the same idea to the game with the snake.

What makes a “daily game”

The best daily games share a few things, and Snakoff has each of them:

Where Snakoff is different

Wordle is a puzzle you solve once. Snakoff is a contest that runs all day. The day has four rounds, and when each round closes the better half of the players go through to the next. Your one run in Round 1 decides whether you play Round 2, and so on to the final, where one player wins the day.

That gives the day a shape. You play in the morning, check in the afternoon whether you made the line, and come back in the evening if you are still in. Reminders can tell you when you are through and when a round is about to close.

It is also a game of skill rather than words. You don’t need to spell, and luck plays a small part: everyone gets the same food in the same places, so the best route wins.

Play with friends

Daily games are better with people you know. Send a challenge link from a result: your friend sees how much food they have to beat, on the same board. The leaderboard shows the whole field for the round and the day, so you can find each other’s names, and the weekly league adds a longer race.

And when you want more

Unlike most daily games, Snakoff doesn’t stop after one go. Practice is open any time, as much as you like, and Endless has no clock at all, with its own leaderboard for today and all time. The daily run stays special because there is only one that counts per round.

Snakoff is free and plays in the browser on your phone or computer, with nothing to download.
