Play Snake online, every day
Looking for a Snake game you can play online right now? Snakoff is a free Snake game that runs in your browser, on a phone, a tablet or a computer. There is nothing to download and nothing to install. Open the page and press PLAY.
Classic Snake rules
If you have played Snake before, you already know how to play Snakoff. You steer a snake around an arena, eat food to score, and grow longer with every bite. Hitting a wall or your own tail ends the run.
Snakoff adds two things to the classic. Each run lasts 45 seconds, and the snake speeds up as the clock runs down. And every day brings a new arena, with its own shape, walls and look, the same for every player in the world.
A daily game, with a knockout
The daily arena is the heart of Snakoff. Every day there is a tournament for everyone: four rounds, and in each one you get a warm-up and then one run that counts. When a round closes, the better half of the players go through. The last round is the final, and its best player wins the day.
Because the arena and the food are the same for everyone, the scores are fair to compare. The leaderboard shows the whole field, and you can share your result or challenge a friend to beat it.
More ways to play
- Practice: a standard arena, any time, as many times as you like.
- Endless: no clock. The run lasts until you crash, the speed keeps rising, and there is a board for today and for all time.
Free, on any device
- Free to play. Coins are earned by playing and buy cosmetic looks for your snake.
- No account needed. You can play as a guest straight away. Sign in with your email (no password: a 6-digit code) if you want to choose your own name and keep your streak and coins on every device.
- Phone or desktop. Swipe on a touch screen, or use the arrow keys or WASD on a keyboard.
- Add it to your home screen. Snakoff works like an app when you add it to your home screen, and Practice still works offline.
- Fast. Snakoff is built with plain TypeScript and an HTML canvas, with no game engine, so it loads quickly even on a mid-range phone.
Every run is stored as a short list of turns, and the same list always replays the same way. That means results can be checked by re-running them, which keeps the daily leaderboard honest.
Ready? It takes 45 seconds to find out how good you are.
