Wildwood is the forest. The arena is a clearing of grass and earth, ringed by a deep canopy of leaves that frames the screen. The inner walls are fallen logs, lying across the clearing with bark on their sides and shadows on the grass. It is the warmest of the biomes, lit in soft yellow and green.

Food and light

You eat sunfruit here, a round golden fruit that glows like a small lamp. Each bite sends a ring of warm light across the clearing.

Ambient life

Fireflies drift and blink over the canopy, a few leaves float down, pale moths flutter past and specks of pollen hang in the air. All of it stays in the scenery around the arena, so nothing moving ever sits on a cell you could steer into.

Place names

The forest names each shape after a glade, a path or a thicket:

Practice here happens in the Practice Glade.

Does it change the game?

No. A forest day plays exactly like a cave or ruins day on the same board. Biomes change only how the place looks: the shape, walls, food spots and speed come from the date and are the same for everyone. The floor is checked to stay readable under the snake in every biome, and the colour-blind setting works here too. The biome itself changes from day to day, never repeating two days in a row. See every place on the arenas page.
